you can't just plug in any memory modules.
check with your dell supplier and/or kingston vendor for the specific part number,
which is compatible with your specific dell unit.
if you use non-dell memory module, dell won't provide tech support for memory-related
problems.

Subject: [plug] OT: Dell mobo wrong memory size detection
OFF-TOPIC:
I'm trying to set-up linux into a Dell desktop with a P-200Mhz cpu and
has a 32MB sdram. I tried adding some sdram's but a 64Mb is detected as
16Mb only and a 128Mb apacer is only detected as 64Mb.
What other memories are required for this machine? I checked it doesn't
even use ECC in the bios.
Anyone has encountered this problem...and please share your solution.
Great thanks!
Jun
