Hagibis,

Not much of a mysql user but i'm using it on some of our services. My honest opinion would be not to certify on it, why? Its not that big of a RDMS like Oracle, DB2, MSSQL, etc. to be of any significance on your resume.

are there any mysql users in here? I am thinking
of getting an mysql certification (to improve my
resume--could be useful later). most of the
people in my day job dosnt take it seriously,
but i *really* do like it.

Haven't got that big of a data on it yet but i can vouch for it to be able to scale on large applications. One problem with mysql though is its unability to have triggers (future release will sport it already). You might want to check PostgreSQL also. {=)

do you use it in a serious
application, and like how much rows do you estimate
on your largest table? I have it on my
webserver at around 20k rows but i dont know how it
would behave in large applications.
