It's a chance to publicly defend Linux against a hacker community which
some dread, or maybe even fear. This is as much in the public eye as it
will ever be. This is where the FUD against open source being insecure
due to its very 'openness' will finally be proven or disproven.

the reputation of Open-Source System (in RP) is at stake here. imagine, if other boxes will be penetrated and the PLUG box doesnt. it will jumpstart OSS solutions in the country (and PLUG will lead the way)...

*a little bit of paranoia: some might be paying those "mercenaries" to discredit their common nemesis, the OSS movement in RP. (or the other way around, heheheh)

It's a chance to put our own knowledge in securing linux up against the
best and latest hacking tools used by them 'kiddies'.

Best of all it's a very good learning experience for all those who will
volunteer.

So if you think you have enough skills to make the team PenguiGnus. drop
me a line publicly or privately. We're forming the PLUG Dream Team.

i think the team should be composed of admins that have experienced
being cracked (who have learned from their mistakes), by those who
successfuly defended their systems while "watching" the attack and
most of all, by script kiddos (think like your enemy....)

but the script kiddos might be on the other side of the fence
coz there is where the fun is.

*i want to help the dream team in a small way by providing some food
(pizza, beer) during their rehearsals (maka-libre lang me ng tutorial, hehehe)

goodluck!!!
