I've had to rebuild the driver twice when I upgraded my Red Hat 9 kernel. 
It was not that difficult since the NVIDIA script takes care of most of 
it. You just have to make sure you have the kernel-source and kernel-docs 
(err... not sure about kernel-docs) packages installed. The NVIDIA docs 
carry pretty complete instrucitons about changes you have to make in the 
XFree86 config file.

I'm not sure if your specific video card is supported though. Mine was 
just an old TNT2 Riva.
