from my server console, I type telnet localhost 25 to check the postfix daemon since
i just installed postfix in my redhat 8.0 linux server. it stops in the escape character...
line. it think it should display 220 ... Postfix. In my main.cf, i already set inet_interface = all. what seems to be the problem?

Probably port 25 is open. you could also check using netstat to see what open
ports you have and to what IP it is open, maybe your port 25 is just opne for
your loopback.
