You don't really have to downgrade your kernel... I'm on Slackware 9.1
using the 2.4.22 kernel. I'll give my assessment of the new driver RSN,
so stay tuned. (Finally, no more binary kludging...)

Besides, you might want to convert the rpm to a Slackware package before
installing, instead of using rpm to install. man rpm2tgz for more info;
personally, that keeps package management centrallized in one place (the
Slackware package list @ /var/adm/packages/)

I'll be testing it on my machine soon. Will try to figure out what
SS_DisplayFatalErr points at, and how to fix it.
