I just got a Tekram TR-621 2.5" HD USB2 enclosure, and a 40 GB Seagate Momentus (the new line of 5400 RPM mobile drives).
It's working here on my home PC - at USB1. (hdparm clocks it at 600 KB/s. Arg.) Tomorrow I'll try it with USB2 on my Asus Degatto. I'll swap drives - the portable is now using a slow 20 GB Fujitsu MHS2020AT, so I'll move that to the Tekram. I've also been using a "Hot Reader" SD/MMC flash card reader. I reused the 128 MB SD card from someone else's broken Palm Tungsten. :) I think it's less prone to being misplaced - or falling out of the pocket - than a thumb drive. -- Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Official Website: http://plug.linux.org.ph Searchable Archives: http://marc.free.net.ph .
