SCSI Controllers, unlike IDE controllers, do not suffer the "shared channel" problems too badly. With IDE controllers, when a master/slave disk is using the bus, their performance suffers. SCSI disks don't. One of the many reasons why SCSI is extremely priced sky-high per GB. -- Gino LV.
