It would be a lot better if they were in separate controllers, if you're
running 40MBps SCSI.  For the 80MBps above you can share at least 2 drives
per controller.  The object of the exercise is to make sure that the bus
doesn't become a bottleneck assuming a drive can churn out 33-40MBps from
platter to the underlying drive electronics.
