I'm on a 1024x600 (strange aspect ratio, yes) LCD and I run Emacs
maximized all the time. <laugh> My love of small laptops conflicts
with my desire to run Emacs as large as possible. It's been
survivable, though.

I haven't really needed this because (surprise!) I do my mail inside
Emacs, too. ;)

However, I _do_ have this nifty trick: mozex. I can right-click on
pages in my Mozilla windows and edit source files / text areas in
Emacs.

I don't think of it as a holy war at all. I like vim, and frequently
help with vim questions. =) I just happen to like Emacs a great deal.
Similarly, I don't really mind Windows and I'm a big fan of Mac OS X,
but so far, Linux suits me best. <grin>
