We have a prospect client. They're using DigitelOne aDSL. Their link 128K bandwidth. The manager said it's always slow. I found out they have about 30 computers using the 128K BW (CIR is 8K only).
I want to recommend Squid proxy server to help them surf faster. Is it really recommended? Will it really help them solve the slow access of websites to make it faster? BTW I also recommended to upgrade their BW to 384k. The Linux box: Some specs of the PC: Celeron 1.7Ghz 1 Gb system memory 3 X 40 Gb IDE HDDs (7200 rpm each) What's your comment and suggestions. Thank you. BTW they will add another 20 PCs. So that total numbers of PCs will be about 50 PCs. -- Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Official Website: http://plug.linux.org.ph Searchable Archives: http://marc.free.net.ph .
