Note that djbdns/tinydns is definitively *proprietary software* with a limited license for gratis use, NOT Free or Open Source Software by any definition of the term. If that is a concern for you, as I think it should, then that's an immediate point against it. Djbdns has also been weighed for standards compliance and been found wanting. There is no direct support for DNSSEC and A6, DNAME, bitstring labels, Dynamic DNS, outgoing AXFR, IXFR, and so forth. If you have the luxury of not needing to comply with these IETF standards, then by all means, but if you ever see your DNS setup growing beyond a small time admin, then these are a serious concern. All of the DNS root servers the entire Internet relies upon for proper operation all use BIND. There are many other non-BIND, non-djbdns name server programs out there, if for some reason you think BIND isn't suitable.
