Two comments: 1. You need to get some inside information about this. I feel there's about a 50% chance that the announcement of this was meant to pressure Microsoft into giving them a deep discount on XP. I'm not sure that they ever meant to sell pc's with no os. 2. Sending letters to Gloria will only get you so far. You need to get face to face time with members of her staff. You also need to find a news outlet that will carry your story. Your letters to her are easily ignored; this needs to be public. And I'm not talking about tech/geek news. I'm talking mainstream media. A large newspaper is a good starting point. 3. This is a tough one. Drop the "GNU/". Seriously. We all know of Stallman's contribution, but to 99.9999999% of the world, it's known as "Linux". This is no time to confuse people, no matter how well-intentioned you may be. Call it "Linux", and sneak in the "GNU/" in 5 years when you have a firm foothold.
