Load balancing is a slippery subject.  What are you trying to load
balance?  HTTP load balancing is most easily accomplished using Linux
Virtual Server.  Other applications, well, that's a little more
complicated.  We are maintaining several servers that do redundant
failover using Linux-HA Heartbeat.
