This works on your system, but not on mine. For this to work on my system, /dev/sda1 must be a valid device, which is not on my system when I plug my Sandisk 256MB thumbdrive. Instead my system autoprobes and reports that /dev/ub has been plugged in. Second, for this to work, there must be an entry in /etc/fstab allowing user 500 to mount the appropriate device, and I do not have that entry, and that is the least of my worries. But then this post has already been answered satisfactorily by many other PLUGgers. Thanks to them. PMana __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
