Hello Pluggers, To start with, I hope everyone and all of your families are safe from the storms and resulting floods, etc. that have hit the Philippines. While I am an American, because I am married to a Filipina, and I served with many Filipino sailors in the Navy, I feel a strong connection to the Philippines.
I am wondering if there are opportunities for Linux / Open Source foreigners in the Philippines. My wife and I are thinking about moving our family there, and I wanted to see what everyone thinks about opportunities. Also, are foreigners allowed to work there? I have some friends who tried to get jobs in India when they got outsourced, but were turned away by the Government. Any advice would be appreciated!
