Gimme a break!! Just watch Fahrenheit 9/11. You'll surely be enlightened
Mr. Chaney. Look at the mirror first, and you'll see the dirt on your
face.

You don’t believe me? Check these out:

And do you know who is the most powerful corrupt official in the whole
world today is? I'll give you a hint: his surname starts with a B, and
ends with an USH? Got it?

Americans thrive on other's weaknesses and they do make a living out of
it. Just take the Iraq war. What's your purpose? Where are the WMDs? The
Americans just said, ooopppss... sorry, its our mistake... anyway, we
got Saddam and his sons...

We have our own preferences just like you. We can make or break power in
government, not like America where civilian authority is always under
your government's. Here in the Philippines, the civilian authority is
always supreme!!

Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!

Regarding the lack of corruption in the US... if Halliburton's
$7Billion unbid contracts in Iraq aren't a form of corruption, then I
don't know what is.. and I don't see Dick Cheney languishing behind
bars or flipping Big Macs. :D

I think the level of corruption in 1st World economies is also high:
there have been corruption scandals in France and Germany. BUT ---

1) these economies can "absorb" some corruption, e.g. 20% of GDP,
without hurting too much since they're robust

2) the corruption occurs not at the "retail" level so there's no
public indignation

Of course in the Philippines the corruption level exceeds 70%, AND
it's a poor country, AND "enterprising" officials bring it down to the
retail level, so the situation is much worse.
