you can setup ym on gaim through http proxy, i've been using gaim and ym
while ago with http proxy.

If you're talking about YM on Gaim using HTTP connection on port 80,
nope. Gaim does not support it, and will probably not support it. As
for HTTP proxy using CONNECT, I read on the Gaim developers list that
proxy for all protocols using the CONNECT is broken.
