Are there any intermediate buildings so cabling will be within the
limits ( < 90m) for Cat5? If not, go for fiber -- dunno the price
range now for four- or six-core outdoor cables, though. And, yep, they
can be placed underground.

As for WiFi, am not sure about the specs (our net-ad would, heh.) but
we use wireless omni and directional antennas for bridging our campus
and the science community cluster. Then again, the terrain is fairly
flat so no problems with line-of-sight, etc.
