Run into some posts that xMule cant run behind a proxy. Im on a LAN.

Heh, that's no error, that's an instruction :D Because your program requires
an older version of wxGTK, you ought to get the corresponding packages
libwxgtkgl2.4, libwxgtk2.4, and wxGTK2.4.

IIRC your package system is smart enough (no offense intended) to be able to
cope with different versions of libraries provided they're explicitly
versioned (like the coexistence of libgtk1.2 and libgtk2.0 in my own system.)
Perhaps using another package management tool such as urpmi or yum (or even
yast) that supports this would be nice.

Another solution would be to use and updated version of xMule (pardon my
ignorance if there isn't any, as I'm not searching) or use MlDonkey[1] which
provides a Web interface, where you can browse with Mozilla (Firefox) or
whatnot. I use this myself as this gives me access to the whole ball field of
p2p networks out there (gnutella, gift, overnet, even bittorrent.)
