Right... it could always be someone running a dedicated
server provided by them who did not secure their box properly
and who got hacked.

It's not necessarily the company's fault though, right?  It would
be inconceivable and unreasonable to expect them to be responsible
for securing every single one of the boxes they rent out, especially
self-managed or colocated ones, right?

Anyway, since my last post, I see there have been around a
hundred additional logon attempts originating from a dozen
or so different IP addresses, I suppose this is just the way
the 'Net is nowadays...
