i already replaced the mobo/p4 cpu combo, d-link (8139too) with 3com
(3c59x) nic, memory, utp cable, and switch port, but i still get the
error. also, samba stop serving windows clients under large file
transfer (more than a gig), and i can no longer reboot the machine.

_i_think_ the problem was cleared when i recompiled a new vanilla
kernel. my old kernel is kernel-2.6.8.1-24mdk (from urpmi update).
