In Manny's case - his involvement would also mean that he'd be offering volunteer services to an activity that his company also offers. Definitely conflict of interest. Also, PLUG isn't a commercial entity - while PLUG would appreciate corporate entities that would advance its cause, PLUG cannot be beholden to corporate interests being a non-profit organization. PLUG as an organization can endorse individuals though.
