On the contrary, you may want to make some PCMCIA (PC Card) drivers
and USB gadgets available as modules, if you intend to plugin those
devices without having to recompile your kernel -- if you indeed have
devices you'd want to plugin. However, I doubt you'd need another IDE
chipset or PC card bus driver (or any of the 'built-ins') around, so
you might want to (safely) include only those of your laptop's.
