Ah, that helps my understanding. When you're running off the USB
drive you
need to mount the hard drive and each directory you need to access,
such as
/etc. I don't recall off-hand what the full procedure is as I do this
only
every few years when installation doesn't work as expected.
Tomorrow will probably bring others to this thread and quickly get you
booting off the hard drive.
I was wondering about that. Hopefully tomorrow will provide, as you surmise.
