A working knowledge of basic chemistry and some old bits of plastic/metal
are all anyone needs to keep that beast running.  With the mechanical
components in place for an acid/base rinse, it could probably be adapted
for a different type of paper. Add electricity and a working knowledge of
high school chemistry, and you've got prints!  Defintely beats going back
to developing your prints in a bathtub.
