FWIW, ermane to this thread's origin, video conference calls, I was notified this morning that the GRASS GIS developers (and anyone else who wants to paticipate) will discuss setting a formal release schedule during a video conference using jitsi. GRASS has developers all across the globe and the conference call will likely be originated in North Carolina. That's a F/OSS tool.
