In the Synology Control Panel > External Access there is a tab for
Setup Router., which I already determined doesn't work because you can
use it to set up only routers that Synology included in their list,
which is not my router. There is a manual configuration option, but I
don't know what to put in the fields, so it is useless. But at the same
time, in the router's configuration I see that it has established a
connection for the Synology, and in the router's logs I see an entry for
each time I attempted to mount the Synology, e.g.:

DHCPREQUEST(br-lan) 192.168.1.164 00:11:32:d6:c0:74
Of course, I also searched the net for advice, but Synology remakes
their UI with every new release, so it is hard to follow what others
have done.
