The exported (external) database query result is an .xlsx file rather than a UTF8 encoded text .csv file. Numeric columns are exported as text with an initial ' prefix to the number.
I keep trying to remove it using the search-and-replace capabilities, specifing cell contents as 'values' and the selected cells as a column. No matter how I specify the find as match case or formatted display and the replace as nothing Calc keeps telling me 'search key not found.' My web search for that string returns all sorts of hits on Calc and search but nothing on the message. Has anyone here experienced this or has a suggestion of what might work? Rich
