I've been experimenting with Linux Mint Mate. I have it running on my machine, ENU-2. I have Xubuntu running on ENU-1. I have successfully connected the machines using Gigolo. I did so this morning before I swapped boxes. Now I get "No route to host" when I try to use Gigolo on ENU-2 to connect to ENU-1. On ENU-1, I get a different error message, "Connecting to "sftp://[email protected]";. Why should it be trying to use sftp when it's set in Gigolo to use ssh?

I have two other computers. ENU-2 is able to connect to those two. ENU-1 gives me the same error message when I try to connect to them. They, too, complain about sftp.

I have tried using the command line.

rsteff@ENU-1:-$ ssh 192.168.0.134
ssh: connect to host 192.168.0.134 port 22: Network is unreachable

I get the same error message, adjusted for the IP address I'm trying to reach, for each of the other two machines coming from ENU-1.

I'm guessing there's something missing somewhere, but I don't understand why it worked before swapping boxes this morning, and why ENU-2 is able to connect to two of my machines but not the third one.

Clue stick invited.
