I have a ChromeBook that just bought a few months ago. I have changed my search
engine to Duck Duck Go and I have also installed a VPN on it. It cost less than
$300 and has 4GB of memory and 64GB Static storage.

I may look into installing Linux later but just use my ChromeBook for casual
browsing right now. It does run Zoom meetings as well so it’s not totally
worthless.
