Any idea where to go next in solving this issue?
I thought about reinstalling VirtualBox and looked back at my notes to
see how I installed it back in 2020. I had used Synaptic, so that's
where I went first. Synaptic told me that virtualbox-dkms required
updating (or upgrading -- don't recall which it was). I ran that. Once
it finished I launched VirtualBox and successfully ran my two virtual
machines.
