Memory can be surprisingly cheap. Find out exactly what kind of memory your
machine uses and what its maximum is. I use the crucial.com system to
identify the make/model of the computer and it should give you a rundown of
what it takes. They you can shop around for the matching specs.

I have a bunch of computers I've maxed out to like 32GB. I think the last
batch I got from freegeek's online ebay store.
