You're pretty confusing. Who's "they"? You seem to have this thought that recycling only has to do with "greenhouse gases" and associated levels of carbon in the atmosphere. My understanding (and if that's flawed, please enlighten me) recycling of the most common materials (glass, aluminum, paper) saved quite a bit of energy and raw materials. Most energy we get right now comes from fossil fuels. Seems to be a win to me. > Remember taking large amounts of carbon out of the atmosphere does much > more then just recycling or slowing down the introduction of carbon. > One more funny thing is that the greenhouse effect isnt really for sure > so to go to the extreme like "tar pits" makes me laugh At which point does it become "for sure"? We'll probably never know everything, but we have to base decisions on what we know today. If that turns out to be wrong, then we take appropriate corrective measures. Not acting on what we do know seems more irresponsive. -Roberto -- Honey, what does 'Formatting Drive C:' mean? /* PLUG: http://plug.org, #utah on irc.freenode.net Unsubscribe: http://plug.org/mailman/options/plug Don't fear the penguin. */
