Water injection can work, and I've seen it work. I rode in a '73 Chevy half-ton truck with a big-block (454) on a 300 mile trip at 80 mph that left a 20 gallon tank just over half full when we arrived. That's 30 mpg. In a 450 horsepower beast of a truck.
It's not easy, and takes a lot of time and tinkering, and some fairly noteworthy mechanical/engineering skills to make it work. But it can and does work. -- Alex Esplin /* PLUG: http://plug.org, #utah on irc.freenode.net Unsubscribe: http://plug.org/mailman/options/plug Don't fear the penguin. */
