It's not about what language is faster, it's about what's right for the job. This isn't even a job, so it's all meaningless conjecture. It's like an argument about pastels vs chalks. If you want to talk speed, write it in assembly in the most efficient instructions and shut up. If you want to talk programming time, use whatever you know the most of the problem domain in and get on with it. If you want to talk any other aspect, well, it's going to be a different conversation for each one.
