   +1 on the Brother units. I've got a DC7020 that's about 10 years old.
Replacement toner (TN350) is about $10. Newer Brother MFC units that I've
purchased recently work well too.

I've also purchased a couple of Samsung CLP 325w inexpensive color laser
units for people I help on occasion. Replace all four color laser toner
was $100. Works well with Linux via wired or wireless.

I wouldn't recommend any inkjet to my ex-mother-in-law (if I had one).
