I really hope I'm not wrong in this, but the last time I looked into this
it is possible to name them the same with the same credentials. However,
some devices may hold on to a weak connection in favor of switching to the
stronger signal. I was told by the guy I was discussing all of it with that
I would be better off if I went for a small mesh network rather than taking
the duplicate SSID approach.

I'm all for hearing that I'm wrong in this, or if someone has a better
alternative. I've thought about doing the same to give me better coverage
around my house and in my carport.
