Openssh is installed and running. And it doesn't matter if I login as
root or the normal user. If I do it locally (i.e. ssh dan@localhost)
it's fine. but if I try it remotely (ssh dan@[machine]) it ALWAYS says
access denied. I'd be happy to skip the console and use SSH if I could
only login!

If you're trying to log in as root, that is likely disabled by default.
Or, you may not have openssh installed/running by default. I access mine
via ssh. I've only used the console a couple of times.

To anyone who has worked with Buyvm.net before, I need a bit of help.
The only way I can seem to connect to my virtual machine is via the AJAX
console program, but that program allows way too many lines before it
scrolls, so for example if I'm in nano, I can't see the toolbar. Plus,
if I hit ^W to initiate a search in nano, the console window closes.
I tried logging in via SSH, but my login attempts are always denied.
I've tripple checked the password, and I know it's good. So I'm at a
loss as to how to properly configure this virtual machine. Anyone got
any ideas?
Thanks!
