Download the pre7 sources from Www.mplayerhq.hu (this sites was slow recently so you try www4.mplayerhq.hu).
Build pre7 on your system, save old pre7, install new pre7 and checks that everything runs as at present. This step proves you can rebuild a good pre7. Now to apply the patch - replace the libmpdemux/demux_real.c file with the one I posted earlier for Scooter.
