In summary, my configuration is as follows:

- SlimServer Version: 6.2b2 - trunk - Windows XP - EN - cp1252
- AlienBBC v0.99
- LAME v3.96
- MPlayer - MPlayer-mingw32-1.0pre7
- SoftSqueeze v2.0b10
- slim server running from command line using perl -w slimserver.pl to
enable debugging
- plenty of debug switches on and the transcoding configuration file is
configured for its output to be as verbose as possible

I believe I have a problem with broken pipes and socketwrapper. Each
time I try to play an RTSP source, I get no output. Inspection of the
log (BBC Radio 2 via AlienBBC attached) reveals that an "Error writing
mp3 output" occurs, which I am suspecting is due to a broken pipe.
Mplayer is successfully kicked off and succeeds to fill its cache up to
18.5%, but then the whole show stops and it attempts to restart the
connection. I notice in task manager that socketwrapper.exe and
lame.exe are continually spawned and then die after about 5 seconds.

I'm completely puzzled. I thought it could be due to a firewall or
virus checker but disabling both of these produces no noticeable
differences. If it matters, I'm running McAfee SecurityCentre which
includes firewall, virus scanner, spam blocker and privacy guard.

Any help greatly appreciated with this otherwise superb piece of
software. I have been tinkering with this for months trying to get it
working!

Ashley
