Additional note on "skip" support in this beta as I'd like feedback on it.
The idea is that by holding down the fwd or rew keys on the remote, it is possible to move forwards or back within a stream - i.e. to skip. It will only work for rtsp: streams and then only "Play again" ones. However the plugin doesn't know which are play again streams so it may give strange results for live streams. The current user interface increments a counter while you hold down the fwd/rew buttons and does the actual skip when you release the button - how well does this work for you? It is also possible to set the "start" offset for a stream by pressing and holding fwd/rew while in the alien menu and no stream is playing. The web interfaces supports the ability to skip within the current stream though a bar on all Alien pages.
