I believe it remembers (but can't be sure) My install is quite normal - socket wrapper is listed as "allow full access".
I would suggest removing the firewall and privacy service and then testing alien. Then reinstall and see what happens. I am thinking about whether it is possible to test socketwrapper on its own outside Alien at present as it seems to cause people problems.
