The following refers to AlienBBC 1.02 onwards Regarding Stream restarting while listening to "Today" program - if it is a "listen again" then you can skip forward (or back) by pressing the FFWD/REW. In 6.2.x the FFW/REW only works while in the AlienBBC menu. Skipping forward/back uses a feature of the RealAudio server and doesn't entail downloading the whole 3hr program.
NPR Talk of the Nation and other programs are available under the NPR menus which you must enable first through the Server Setting/AlienBBC menu There are 3 NPR menus 1. NPR News - the live channel and 5 min news. 2. NPR Programs - the main NPR programs - IIRC within the program the program items are in a playlist so you can skip to next item quickly (se web interface to see items in the list). 3. RSS Topics - NPR RSS pages has an audio item tagged - this menu shows the RSS text and if it can it will also play the audio items.
