That's correct. The playlist object handling is changing. Expect a fix sometime AFTER 6.5 is a bit less unstable.

looks to be working fime for me. There WAS a bug that use to do something I would describe as random, but that is fixed in 1.132, which clearly you do have. Maybe clear your alarm plugin prefs from the conf file, in case some old data from the broken version is having an affect now.
