So I've been at home a bit this week and performance has been mixed. As i was getting repeated DNS issues I've swapped out my BT homehub for a better router. I noticed that often when iplayer dropped out i also lost a load of other internet services like dropbox so there was something of a wider network problem going on.
Since changing the router I no longer get the problems with other internet connectivity just with iplayer. Sometimes it just re-buffers for a few seconds, sometimes it just gives up altogether.
