TBH it's somewhere in the middle, I run picoreplayer LMS on a Pi3, it's normally left on 24/7, at the weekend we had a power cut... I didn't have to rebuild the pi, all that was required was a reindex of the catalogue, which takes about 35mins for 3K flac albums.
