I am playing the HLS streams "natively" from the URLs such as http://a.files.bbci.co.uk/media/live/manifesto/audio/simulcast/hls/uk/sbr_high/ak/bbc_radio_one.m3u8 - I only use the BBC iPlayer plugin for catchup normally.
I am using Windows 10 Pro and trying to play on a Squeezebox Boom and Radio. The live/on demand stream preferences are both HLS > MP3 > FlashAAC > FlashMP3 with Allow Transcoding enabled.
