I set up based on your Coolio guide posted to the product site, http://penguinlovesmusic.de/ipeng-the-iphone-skin-for-squeezecenter/how-to-use-the-ipeng-application/known-issues/coolios-guide-to-remote-playback/
I have LMS running on my Synology NAS and my remote URL is in the format of Code: -------------------- name.DNSservice.com:9002 -------------------- and so I forwarded port 9002 and port 3483 in the router. The NAS has a fixed IP from the router. My router only supports a DNS service that costs money and offers way more features than I need, so I have a DNS updater client running on the NAS. And all of that seems to work great. To test: My laptop's browser -and- my iPhone's browser can load and control the LMS web app using my remote URL. I also successfully tested this on the iPhone with WiFi turned off. I can control the players, too (not that I care about that.) I setup LMS to require a password, and so that was the first thing it asks for in the browser. iPeng can't see the remote server. I verified that I added it in the iPeng Settings as Code: -------------------- name.DNSservice.com:9002 -------------------- Not sure what to look at next? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ deckeda's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=57139 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
