Very strange and confusing issues for sure. A long shot perhaps, but ... If you have more than one dhcp server on your network, then strange things (like these) can happen: all connected devices requests a renewal of PI-addresses regularly but if you have more than one dhcp server responding you may end up with an IP that is not within the same subnet as other devices. I.e., the LAN breaks down into several.
